My name is John Ragland and I'm a Junior in Electrical Engineering at Auburn University. I grew up in Huntsville Alabama and went to Grissom High School.

I went into engineering because, growing up I was constantly surrounded by engineers. I also did a lot of hobby electronics stuff in high school. I would mess around with Arduinos and RaspberryPis. I also soldered up an analog circuit that would blink different colored LEDs to the bass mid and treble parts of an audio signal.

In high school I was on the Drum Line and played guitar in the jazz band. I enjoy playing music and doing outdoor activities like camping and hiking.

I'm still trying to decide exactly what I want to do with my engineering degree and am trying to keep as many doors open as possible. Some possibilities include grad school with the goal of doing research and becoming a professor, or working on consumer products.
